Mako stretched, bending over and touching his toes. Korra was late. Again. he would be surprised if she even showed up at all. The Avatar had been continually absent lately, continually moody too. Any time he was around her, any time he mentioned Asami she would grow upset and storm off or make some snide comment. He wasn’t sure what was going on with her but he didn’t really care, it was putting a rift in the team and she needed to get over it. And he was going to make sure she did. If she bothered to show up.
Korra was planning on skipping practice, yet again. Honestly though, she was tired of Mako going on and on about ‘Asami this, Asami that, Asami and I went here’ blah blah blah. She swore if she heard the name Asami one more time, she might just have to run the both of them over with more than a moped.
Besides, she had more important things to worry about than practice
and a certain fire bender and rich girl she had duties to perform as the Avatar and that took presidency, not to mention she had asked Tenzin to up her training.
However, she decided that she might as well show up for practice at least once this weak. Besides, she wanted to see Bo, he was still her friend and she owed it to him to at least show up every once in a while.
Sighing, Korra pushed open the double doors that lead to one of the training rooms that lined the arena.
"Uh, hey guys."
